hello america! i have yet to finish an earlier writing concerning obama being sworn in &, for anyone looking for it, i promise to get back to it very soon. but, first, i must write this letter to my new president so he'll know where i stand, what i expect, what i need, &, what all i don't want.
obama, congratulations to you & i am happy for you. that being said, i must say this...i am extremely informal in my writings:::no tittles, no capital letters in names (generally), no mr & mrs:::nope, none of that. plus, i can be very sarcastic at times. so, if you can accept that, please read on.
you ran on a platform of "change" & how you are the only one that can fix america's problems. i've listened to you & i have been very judgemental & critical about you & your plans for my country. &, no where in your plans did you address the issues that affect each & every one of us daily. america became so caught up in your smooth, flowery rhetoric that they failed to hear what you didn't say. well, i'm here to tell you that i heard what you didn't say.
you know better then most that in order to grow, you must start as a little seed, then you root, then you sprout &, if you're lucky, you blossom. buildings are built from the ground up: in other words, everything in life starts from ground zero. isn't that how you grew? from a seed?
well, my country needs to be allowed to 'grow' &, to be honest, your plans do not allow for that growth. your plans sound great & offer hope but, they don't address the problems that hinder america's growth.
yes, we are in dire times which call for drastic actions but, the actions you plan won't help us as a people. &, in a minute, i'll prove to you why.
the greatest problem facing america is, we have allowed politicians & the supreme court to peel off the layers of what made america america. america's history is deeply rooted in churches & organizations & GOD, the american flag, schools & education, parenting, neighbors helping neighbors, mom & pop stores & (MOST IMPORTANTLY), the american will to remain a free country &, english. just eight little things but, together, they make up the foundation of this great nation--- from the ground up.
our foundation has been trampled & undermined by the very system installed to guarantee its survival (OF WHICH YOU ARE NOW THE LEADER). &, it amazes me that you continue to fail to address these issues.
SO, LET'S DO SO NOW BUT, NOT IN THE ORDER THEY'RE LISTED!
the american flag is the symbol that represents us here as well as abroad. it should be given the utmost respect &, no other flag should be raised higher then it. well, somewhere along the line, some idiots in washington felt it would do their constituents good to allow the desecration of our flag &, this needs to stop. if i am correct, you voted to allow the desecration of our flag. how can our flag be a representation of this country when we allow it to be worn on it's citizens butts & burned. obama, restore the respect to our flag that it deserves---after all, america saw you salute &/or put a hand to your heart (as did your wife) as our flag passed your inaguration viewing station. don't be a hypocrit, have washington make flag desecration a felony with strong penalties.
schools & education have always been part of the american backbone. building better schools, raising teachers pay &, providing the opportunity for every child to get a good, affordable education does not address the problem. the biggest problems concerning our school systems are: the crime rate for all schools has gone up (some even have police stationed within the schools). there are gangs in & around the schools. drugs are being sold & used within the schools. parents, organizations, communitees &, churches lack the power to enforce their child's attendance.
obama, you may mean well but, since you're there, why not do the best job you can for us? fix the problems that have allowed our school systems to fall apart to the point that our children attend school to 'hang out' & show off the hottest gear & bling-bling. if you think that your plan will solve this problem, you're crazy. take the worst part of your home state---has to be chi-town---build a better building, pay the teachers top pay, make it as 'green' as you want &, mandate its affordability & then tell me you solved the problem. be for real! a lot of teachers have lost their true desire to teach because of the conditions they are confronted with. a lot of the students don't get to learn all they should because of the conditions they're confronted with. a lot of kids don't go to shool or cut out of school & nothing is done about it---i should say, very little is done about it. intead of punishing the child, the system punishes the parent or guardian with fines &/or jail time. & yet, the parent or guardian lacks the authority to 'force' the child to school whether it be from fear of the child &/or fear of the penal system (they call it "child abuse now").
no, your plan is only window dressing & i'm here to tell you it won't stay in the window long. fix the conditions & the overcrowding & the system will take care of itself (even in an old shack).
parents & guardians, as stated above, have very litle influence on their children. they can't lay down the law as they once could for fear of being hauled off to jail. our system has become so backwards that it allows children to sue their paents & guardians &/or jail them. yes, i had my butt beaten by my father with a belt. i know now that i am better off for it. yes, there is a point when it crosses the line & only then should the authorities step in. let's see: there's verbal abuse, abuse through intimadation, there's physical abuse, there's kidnapping by forceably keeping a child from going out &, there's mental abuse. the line between 'good' & 'bad' abuse is so frail & grey that it can be stepped over without ill will towards the child. obama, if you really want to fix anything, give the parent & guardian back the authority they once ruled their home with.
also a major part of this problem is that one of the parents can walk away from their responsibilities with very little repercussions & divorce is extremely easy to attain. children are having children. too many children being born out of wedlock. these are our problems & they are very real. fix them!
english should be our national language by law. if one wants to enter our country, learning english must be mandatory. if we should choose to learn another language, fine. as a true american, i am tired of government issued papers in multiple languages. same thing with calling different companies. i'm american & we speak english here. make it mandatory for all who enter our borders to learn it & speak it---this is not to say that they cannot speak their own language,,,they should but, don't force it on me. don't come to my country & tell me i have to live by your rules or speak your language---i'm american, it's just that simple.
attendance for churches & the various organizations that serve america is down. parents can't get their children to attend & washington has to accept a lot of the blame. by taking GOD & religion out of the schools-specifically, the pledge of allegiance, & ruling what can & can't be in public buildings has had a trickle down effect on us. if church & state must be so severely separated, why is a clergyman allowed to say a prayer before the proceedings & why is the GOOD BOOK still allowed to be sworn on? you did it. we are a country where the majority of us do beleive in GOD, &, the CROSS should be allowed to hang in all public buildings. if you are truely a man of & for the people, make it happen.
america used to be filled with neighbors helping neighbors & watching overs each others children without having to be asked to do so. when one was sick, they would bring you a pot of home made soup. they always talked to one another & shared coffee & cakes. they looked out for one another & their neighborhoods. now a days, they barely nod at one another. neighborhoods are over run with gangs, drugs &, crime. people are afraid to go out at night &, in some areas, they are afraid to go out in the day. it wouldn't be too bad if it were just american gangs doing business here; no we have chineese gangs, russian gangs, jamaican gangs &, mexican gangs...they come from all over the world & some of them are extremely brutal. neighborhoods can't be fixed until the gangs are rooted out, crime is shrunken &, drugs weeded out. you want america to grow, eliminate those three problems.
obama, your plan to help the little businessman won't work & i don't care how much money you pour into it. since the creation of malls & the chains of grocery stores, the mom & pop stores were doomed to die. if you honestly wanted to help the little businesses, you would be 'killing' america. your point on jobs being lost & unemployment skyrocketing is well known & agreed to. however, take a good look at just how many of the little businesses are going overseas & when you talk of the laying off by the thousands, the little businessman's company is not even in the same paragraph. it's the big companies that are firing & laying off their workers or, moving overseas.
if you wanted to help the mom & pop stores the only way you could do it would be to close the walmarts, the k-marts, the sears, the t-mobiles etc...the little business sector is hurting because they can't compete with the larger chainstores. especially in the food market. you can answer this for america & settle any dispute we may have about the little business company; did you get your suit from the washington hood-which is about 4 blocks from your front door? or did you go to your old neighborhood (altgeld gardens or that area) & get the little tailer to make it? now you can see why the little busiman is having such a hard time. & yes, target is all over & has helped put the little business out of business because the little man can't compete with them. it's simple math.
i live in allentown pa & since home depot showed up, the small businesses that were selling the same products as home depot have collasped, sold out or, just simply disappeared. they couldn't compete with the prices, the services, the selections &, the warranties.
obama, be careful of what you promise us. in order for you to allow the little businesses to grow, you have to close or downsize the bigger ones & you know the repercussions of that would swell the unemployment lines greatly.
america's will to remain free will always be at the forefront of thought whenever facing foreign dangers with or without you. you can either make us stronger, or you can make us weaker. i honestly hope it's the former of the two. it doesn't take a general or congressman/woman to tell anyone that our military has kept us safe. our weapon systems & troops need to be the best of the best &, above all else, we must always be totally willing to employ our military without second thought. that & that alone is what has kept us free.
obama, if you can handle the above problems, you will truely help this country in ways it hasn't been helped for decades. they are the real problems that affect each & every one of us daily. &, even though i voted for mccain, i accept you as my president & will support you 100%, but, I, as an american, need the above problems fixed first.
thankyou!
this site will primarily consist of my political writings on what i see, hear, know &, research &, it will be predominantly about the negativety within our government, as i see it, regardless of who it may be about. above all else, it will be the truth as best i can present it.

EAGLE FANS, SUCK IT UP
hello america! if you're really into football, you had to enjoy the the nfl & afl championship games regardless of who's your team. the two games lived up to all the hype---there was defense, there was offense &, the special teams held their own. coaches were trying to out-coach their counterparts &, the replay camera shots were great. it seemed like the games were packed with excitement & suspense.
well, can't please everybody. so, today, we have to deal with those that say the eagles got robbed. the refs didn't call pass interference on a play where the defender slipped & perhaps caused the receiver to fall. there was contact but, replay didn't show a picture of the defender actually tripping the receiver. it did show that the receiver didn't make the catch & should have. so, eagle fans, suck it up...you complain about the no-call & yet, you have nothing to say about the muffed call on one of the kickoffs when the ref called the ball out of bounds---&, it wasn't. should have been cardinals ball arond the eagles 30 yard line &, with the way the cards were playing the 1st half, it would have been lights out for the eagles right then. instead, no call & it gave the eagles life & hope, which, they almost made the most of.
mcchoke, excuse me, mcnabb, still cannot perform at his best when under game pressure. even though he threw the eagles back in it---to the point that just about everybody was thinking they were going to win it, he failed to show up when they needed him most. he overthrew one receiver &, threw behind another who'd still be running if the pass were accurate. they had their chances.
however, it would not be fair to give all the blame to mcchoke---he doesn't play on the defensive side of the ball. the eagle defense in the 1st half just was not there. &, they showed up in the 2nd half only part of the time. this was a day in which the eagle defense & offense didn't play the 1st half.
so, eagle fans, if you need a refs call to advance to the next round, you have no business being there.
congrats to the cardinals & steelers...also, hopes & prayers that willis mcgahee will be okay. i've heard some already say that it was an illegal hit but, when you really watch the replay, mcgahee lowered his head first.
wish we had more match-ups like these two games all season long.
arizona cardinals & superbowl do belong in the same sentence---just ask the eagles.

US HOUSE OF REPS DEBATING AMENDMENTS TO THE BAILOUT
hello america! have any of you had time to check out the debate on c-span? it's the us house of representatives , both repubs & dems debating the remaining 350 billion dollar bailout money. if you really listen to it, the dems just want to give the monery out & the repubs are against that.
the main man for the dems is rep barney franks. yep, gud ole barney. he has screwed us so many times in the past by fighting against regulation for the financial markets. we would not be in this financial mess if it weren't for barney franks, chris dodd, harry ried & others. & YES, REPUBLICANS SHARE IN THE BLAME.
i am not here to assign blame for the financial & housing markets collaspe but, certain names pop out at me whenever i research who did what & when.
rep jeb hensarling, r-texas, was very impressive when debating against franks & i hope the rest of the repubs saw it his way. for that matter, i hope the dems see it that way but, that's wishfull thinking.
although this bill may make it through the house, i strongly expect it to have a lot of problems making it through the senate. time will tell.
america, enough is enough & all this bailout crap is enough. how can barney franks get on live, public tv & blame bush for anything
do your research america! barney franks is not for america & should have been kicked out of office years ago. put another dem in his seat but, please remove him. just google barney franks & see for yourself. apparently, the good people of the state of mass don't know how to do this nor do they know the harm that barney franks & his cohorts are directly responsible for.
do your own research america.

TRANSPARENCY---NOT THIS ADMINISTRATION
hello america! transparency? yeah, right. the obama camp is again hiding things from us that should prove to you obamaholics, his administration will be business as usual.
rahm emanual should have been a big clue as to what obama sees as what should be transparent. he will only comment on negativities when they become public---you saw this throughout his campaigning & ignored it. why should he change now?
the man that obama named to head the treasury, timothy geithner, has had his own problems with taxes to the tune of $34, 000. yeah, he should be another good fit for obama.
it seems that obama & his camp knew of his problems & asked certain senators to keep it quiet. i will be posting more on this as it becomes available.
in the mean time, don't take my word on it, google timothy geithner & see for yourselves. there's quite a lot out there.

CLOSING GITMO-A BIG MISTAKE
hello america! perhaps you can answer this question for me---if a member of your family was kidnapped, would you really care what the police had to do to return that member to you safely? i mean, wouldn't you want them to do everything in their power to accomplish that?
or, would you be one of those that demand that the police respect the rights of the perpertrators to the point of you never getting your family member back safely?
well, obama seems to think that his closing gitmo (guantanamo) & issuing those captured in battle against us civil rights, goes against every grain of my moral being. i have a big problem with this.
you cannot capture the enemy during the battle & then give them the same rights americans experience during incarceration. nor can you release them freely. if this is allowed to occur, we will have intentionally sealed an effective way of gathering information that could result is less american lives being lost.
in the two wars we are currently involved in, our enemy is ruthless. they show us no mercy, in fact, they go the opposite route. to most of us, they almost appear subhuman in their ability to inflict death & destruction on our military & civilian forces. they seem to think that strapping a bomb on a young woman & sending her into a marketplace to blow up is a thing of honor. they don't care who dies or is injured &, they have no morals about waging their war from their places of worship.
even with all the 'bad news' coming from gitmo, these people are being treated better then they were in their own country. their religion is being respected, they're clothed, they eat (based on their religion), they sleep, & they exercise. &, if water-boarding is what it takes to save american lives, so be it.
not wishing this on anybody but, when the enemy captures your son or daughter or freind, please make your voice is heard about giving the enemy rights. if my daughter-in-law were captured by the enemy, i wouldn't care what means were used to secure her rescue.
as usual, obama has it wrong!

DON'T ASK-DON'T TELL
hello america! since the inception of the "DON'T ASK-DON'T TELL" policy, we've heard extremely little negative reports about it. so, it must be working! why then will obama get rid of it? what does he have against 'gays' in the military (in which he never served )?
the numbers of 'gays' in the military are not known, & yet, i would be willing to wager that there are quite a few of them in there. obama wants to change that for whatever reason. again, i must ask why? if they are not creating a problem with those they serve with, leave them the hell alone. why force them to expose themselves & then suffer further humiliation by forcing them out of the military &/or being denied entrance?
if the 'gays' in the military can follow orders, accomplish the mission, & keep their sexual preferences to themselves, what harm do they pose? actually, if they can perform their duties in an honorable manner, they are serving this country in ways that obama knows nothing of first hand.
if this is why the obamaholics elected obama then they have succeeded. congratulations! however, i'll bet that the 'gay community' would like to recast their vote.
well, looking at things the way they are, if obama can force the 'gays' out of the military, it will only be a matter of time before he forces the women out. after all, obama will be the commander-in-chief of the united states armed forces. yes, his lack of inexperience is about to pay off in a negative way.
with all that is going on in these dire times, isn't it wonderful to know obama has the time to worry about 'gays' in the military?
besides, rep. barney franks is an admitted 'gay'---shouldn't he be forbidden involvement in anything related to the military? if a 'gay' can't serve their country in the military, they should not be allowed to serve in the house or the senate. where will it stop obama? where?

HEATH CARE
hello america! for a 'man for the people', obama is really showing he's anything but. on the other hand, i for one, never will expect him to be that---he has very little record of helping the people.
his plans to 'force' 2.5 million children to get enrolled in his health care plan (even though they have their own insurance providers) strengthens the arguement about universal health care. if obama is allowed to pull this off, it will just be a matter of time before he 'forces' you, as an adult, to become enrolled in his health care package for adults. besides, this may come as good news to all those obamaholics that they will eventually have to pay for this out of their own pockets.
obama must not have studied all those other countries with their universal health care systems. they didn't work there & they ain't gonna work here. there's way to much corruption between the federal government & the health care industry for this to be anything but a failure. &, as a 'man for the people' obama knows this & he also knows you are going to be stuck in the middle of this failure. you're going to end up not having any health care at all.
you want to fix health care? put stronger, enforcable laws on the books that are designed to root out the collaboration & coruption between the government & the health care industry &, jail those that influence the cost of business & medicine. &, if a foreign market creates a drug that works, is safe, & affordable, allow us to purchase it without any crap.
all the above being said, i realize there are those that have no health care at all &, they are the ones that should be enrolled in health care systems that are designed to fit their health care needs.
