i don't know if this company received any fed funding however, the point is, america is just not able, or ready, to embrace 'green' products. i can only hope that obama is paying attention to this trend of closings.
i do like how the company plans to help the laid off workers...i wish all company's would do that so as to lesson the ex-worker's burden.
june will be a very interesting month because a lot of company's have scheduled lay offs for then...which brings me back to obama...what part of his stimulus worked? what has he actually done to improve our economy except talk about it & blame others? i'm sure he will say he's done a great job. however, his rhetoric, when compared to all the lay offs, bankruptcy's & business closings don't match up.
in truth, obamas american policy (whatever it may be) has proven not to be good for this nation. rather then even attempt to try & fix our economy, he 'forced' obamacare on us telling us it would lower healthcare costs (it hasn't & won't) &, he told us we could keep our present coverage knowing that we can't. he also spent all that time on his stimulus that did not/is not/& will not work. i have the videos of him running around the country campaigning for his stimulus saying one thing & then, when the stimulus didn't work, i have him changing his rhetoric....i.e; in the beginning, it was to 'create' millions of jobs & when that didn't happen, he changed it to 'save or create' millions of jobs. other examples are: the money was to go out the door 'immediately' to those that needed it most; america needed his stimulus 'now', immediately' &, all that changed to, 'we knew it wouldn't happen overnight'.
well, here's obamas jobs bill that is supposed to help create jobs but, don't hold your breath. for that matter, he's not even talking about it because it's just like his stimulus & obamacare........

1.....company contacts a gov't official or vice verse about a gov't loan/investment
2.....gov't official starts political ball rolling with or without vetting the company
3.....head politician ignores advice for or against the loan/investment
4.....gov't then approves loan/investment with or without objections
5.....company receives loan/investment
6.....shortly after receiving loan investment, company goes under
7.....politicians start blaming one another & the rest is history.......................
it seems so simple & started with $75 million in loan guarantees which has ballooned up to $112 million &, no way to recoup it.......i'm sure curt schilling isn't hurting (wasn't his money) &, the politicians aren't hurting (wasn't their money)....................
however, there are 400 people we know of hurting & more so because they didn't receive pay since may 1st...
so, their plight is a little different then most---they're already a month in the red & hopefully, they'll qualify for unemployment compensation...400 people hurting & how many of them have family that depend on them?
the above has a ripple effect on our economy....
1.....the taxpayers are out $112 million
2.....the 400 people will not be paying weekly/by weekly taxes so the gov't (from the feds on down) can't
collect those taxes
3.....the 400 people will not be patronizing the store & services nearly as much as they did when they were
employed
4.....those stores & services are actually losing business
5.....the gov't (from the feds on down) can't collect taxes on the lost business
6.....the gov't (from the feds on down) must either reduce/cut services to the public, layoff their own people,
raise taxes on the rest of the people or, borrow more money to keep afloat..............
regardless of which way it goes, in the end, it's the taxpayer that gets screwed along with the 400 who not only lost their jobs, they lost their healthcare coverage also (they all might end up in the public welfare system).
it's really not enough that nearly all the board of directors have resigned or won't be reinstated, they should go to jail........
yes, the above sounds like it came directly from obama...give the people something the majority of them don't want, tell them it's best for them, let the project fail, find somebody else to blame....

to keep it simple, america doesn't have jobs because obama doesn't want you to have jobs. you can slice & dice it any way you wish to but, the fact is, obama spent the first two years on his stimulus & his obamacare. he had a dem controlled senate & a dem controlled house of reps. he could have pushed any bill he wanted through congress however, he chose not to focus on 'jobs'. instead, he forced more regulations on business's & combined that with tax uncertainty's. on top of that, he actively waged 'war' on 'private employers' by ignoring them & supporting unionized labor.
good people, when our national unemployment rate ticks down (hope you read the above article), obama is going to be out there telling you his stimulus worked. do not be fooled. it will just mean that more people aren't collecting unemployment benefits & many, many more will have stopped looking for work. check this out; if all the people that have stopped looking for work (right now) & could be actively counted, our rate would jump to 10% or better.

hello america!!! regardless of which side of the fence you're on about 'same sex marriage', obamas embracing it for all the world to see has hurt us on a foreign level none of you even think about. do you mean to tell me that muslim controlled country's will now see him as a 'strong' person or, their equal? are you going to even attempt to tell me that the heads of russia & china are now going to see him as 'the man'?
our 'foreign policy' is crap---north korea & iran ignore our threats & sanctions; russia & china don't respect us & have shown the willingness to take it even furthur; libya, yemen, pakistan, iraq & afghanistan all have deep rooted muslin beliefs & we can't seem to find the right solutions to theirs & ours problems; venezuela is another animal; cuba is still up in the air; &, there are several other african/muslim country's we can add to the mix; & you already know that obama is torn between telling israel to go to hell & defending them.......

OBAMA, WHERE'S YOUR BLUEPRINT???
hello america!!! let's talk facts::::::::::::
our social security system: different estimates predict it will be broke between 2030 & 2045 if nothing is done to shore it up. it is paying out more then it is taking in because more people are unemployed & not paying taxes. obama & our congress members all agree that something must be done &, other then rep paul ryan, none of them want to put their plans on the table. however, there are several ways they can ensure soc sec will remain solvent through a combination of mechanics......
1.....americans are living longer therefore, the age to receive benefits should be raised but not to effect those
55 or older
2.....the fed gov't needs to put the soc sec money in an interest bearing account & not borrow from it
3.....put more people back to work so as to be able to collect more soc sec tax
4.....raise the individual's soc sec tax rate
5.....raise taxes on everybody
6.....reduce the cost of living allowance adjustments
7.....allow individuals to invest half of their soc sec tax as they wish with stipulations they cannot touch it until
they retire
8.....do nothing & allow it go broke
9.....reroute money from other programs/agency's
good people, there may be other choices to be added however, i think i've got the main ones...well, raising taxes is not a good thing at this time; putting people back to work won't happen until there's less regulations &, more certainty's concerning taxes; reducing the cost of living allowance would hurt those already receiving benefits; doing nothing is not an option; raising individuals soc sec tax rate goes hand in hand with raising taxes; leaving options #1, #2, #3 &, #9

hello america!!! after reading cbs, nbc, msnbc, foxnews &, cnn, i'm struck by what i don't see: i just don't see obama defending his record for the past 3 1/2 years. i mean, didn't obama recently say his stimulus worked? didn't he also say how much america needed obamacare? didn't he say he 'saved' or 'created' 4 million jobs? didn't he say he hired the only people in america that could fix our economic woes? didn't he promise america transparency & an admin run on high ethical standards? didn't he say he would change how business was conducted in washington? didn't he promise to 'tackle' immigration reform? didn't he say he could fix our border issues? didn't he say he could bridge the gap between dems & repubs? didn't he promise to cut our national deficit in half by the end of his first term? didn't he say he wouldn't raise taxes on the middle class? didn't he say he would keep us safe & yet, all of our 'secrets' are being 'leaked' & they have to come from his admin? didn't he say he would get rid of the agency's that didn't work?
i guess the media put the info out on the internet in braille because they didn't put in out there in english.

never find your company on the list. that being said, a lot more layoffs are coming. the jobs sector has to hit rock bottom before it will regain its footing &, there are many, many reasons why: such as; healthcare costs, retirement packages, union labor contracts, gov't regulations, tax uncertainty, less demand for products & services, reduced bank lending, gasoline & energy costs &, greed.
a lot of the above problems could be solved in your 'so-called leader' had your best interests at heart. however, he's too busy supporting the 'middle class' sector which is made up with many, many unionized laborers: i.e; teacher's, firemen, policemen, etc.---let me put it this way, if you don't make about $30,000 a year, you're not middle class & your're not worthy of obamas attention or efforts. you don't have to believe me but, can you remember obama ever talking about those that earn south of $30,000 per year? it's all about the 'fat cats' & the middle class to him---hell, he just offers you food stamps & extends your unemployment benefits but, he won't get you a job. for that matter, he doesn't even do foto-ops in your neighborhood....
in these dire times, no body's job is safe---you could be promoted today & laid off tomorrow---so, be thankful that you are employed.
this is what has to be fixed before we can even think about 'growing'---by the way, this is where i'm living...

hello america!!! i've decided to change my tactics & post this writing to gov mitt romney with the hope that he may use it & start exposing obama since the media won't.....
gov romney, obama has always blamed pres bush & the dems for our economic collapse however, he had a direct hand in our downfall that the media won't expose as a lawyer & a trainer for acorn. he & others forced banks to make those sub prime loans (to people that couldn't afford them under CRA) that came back & bit us. he has never acknowledged his roll in this &, he should have to account for his actions & apologize to the american people.

OBAMA, MORE UNEMPLOYMENT ON YOUR WATCH!!!
hello america!!! here's your daily jobs situation &, for a lot of people, the month of may has been atrocious.

as you see, a lot of people are still losing their jobs daily (even on saturdays & sundays), & bankruptcy's & closing's continue. this wednesday, hp is scheduled to announce 30,000 layoffs &, the airlines are getting ready to get into the act.
in truth, i look for the 'silver lining' in all of these reports however, i just don't see one. i look to our 'so-called leader' to explain exactly what is happening in the jobs sector but, he'd rather spend his time doing other things. & blaming others.
obama says he created or saved 4 million jobs & leaves it at that---however, his numbers don't add up. one would think that if he could prove it, he'd be all over the states with charts, names &, statistics to back his story up. good people, you know damn well that if you were campaigning for any office, you'd put your best foot forward. you have the facts to back you up & you'd make sure they got out for all to see.
here's a 'man' that makes the claim that he's got 4 million jobs under his belt & can't prove it. &, because he doesn't want to be forced into a position to have to prove it, he'd rather talk about gov mitt romney & bains capital...so let's get to it......
when one goes into business & invests money, the only results one is interested in is, PROFIT. your investments are not always going to pan out &, you actually lose out. same as a bank loan (for anything); they make loans to make money & that's the bottom line. who, in their right mind, loans out money or invests it knowing they are going to take a loss? who starts a new business knowing that tomorrow, they will have to close their doors? capital america works & has been from the beginning &, if left alone, will continue to work.
obama wants to make the case that romney isn't a good 'businessman'. fair enough conversation. from what all i'm researching, romney's 'business' record then obamas will ever be. yes, bains may have made money on some of their investments &, others suffered because the business went down...that's america. obama doesn't get it. for that matter, he said he paid his 'so-called' student loan off---look at how long it took. what about those that don't pay those student loans off? who takes the loss? if i'm the banker & i'm not getting repaid, i raise my rates & when that doesn't work, somebody's going to be laid off. i'm not taking the loss. i'm sure you wouldn't take it either.
when i wikipedia bains capital, they have provided a lot of jobs. &, supposedly, romney wasn't even there when that steel company closed shop. which brings me to this.......
i look at what obama did with our stimulus money & i don't see where it worked. i don't see him asking the states to give him detailed reports on all the money he gave them for those shovel ready jobs. i don't see him trying to account for every dollar that may have actually saved a public workers job. all that money went out & obama can't tell you where & to who---if you gave me $5,000 to get a new roof, you'd be pressing me for details daily...obama has no business with his fingers in our money...we can't even get the truth from him or his admin about solyndra (& the others). when it comes to making loans & grants, obama should be able to tell you where your money went, who got it, what they did with it &, did it help this country.
obama can't tell you about the above---have him explain that 'hi-speed rail service' for his buddy, harry reid.

good people, who would you blame? &, let's just assume it not only happened again but, it happened again on a more massive scale & threw this country into another economic financial tailspin. do you blame obama who can't make the laws himself but did petition congress or, do you blame the congress that did nothing to put those much needed stronger regulations into law?

OBAMA, NICE PATCH JOB---NOT!!!

obamas stimulus was like trying to patch a very old leaky roof...you patch one area then another area leaks so, you patch that area & another area leaks...over & over &over...it never dawned on him that the whole roof should be replaced......
if we are to learn anything from our disastrous economic collapse it's, we have to allow the laws of BUSINESS 101 work. the states, city's & county's will always be able to work out something (they always have) to avert filing for bankruptcy, unless they just keep on spending & paying out those outrageous union retirement packages. business's that do bad, need to be allowed to fall, regardless of their size---america will pick sup the pieces: always has/always will. yes, the unemployment lines will get longer & a lot more people will be hurting however, the system will fix itself quicker.
take gm & chrysler for example; they should have been allowed to file for bankruptcy without any federal aid. they would have had to do what the other 'too small to bailout' company's have to do. they would have had to downsize; slow their production down; maybe move to a 'job friendly' state; sell off some of its 'so-called' assets; rework the unionized labor contracts; get rid of the old management & hire better management; suspend their sponsorship ads; merge with another company.............as it is, nothing has really changed......the union contracts are going to hurt them again.......
obama, this is a prime example of what i am talking about---they don't need a bailout &, if worse comes to worse, a lot of people will be out of work however, somebody's going to come in & take over, even if it's in another name...by the way obama, you have to click on both links to see how america takes care of america.........

fairness---what a joke. teacher's have us paying their salaries & they get the luxury of not having to pay their own fair share for their own healthcare---we pay it. then they get tenure & we have to buy their contracts out in order to get rid of them. plus they have those great retirement incentives. kids are coming out of school 'dumber' & they want more. as i said, fairness---what a joke.
this 'take from the fat-cats & give to the poor' is what is wrong with this country. i don't want a hand out...i just want what i earn (ed). in these dire times of rising food prices, food stamps come in handy & medical would be a GODSEND...obama & teachers, do you realize we have people collecting public welfare that don't even try to look for a job? they are content with handouts.
what's sorry about this is, you teachers should be out in the community's trying to find those people 'jobs' not on protesting lines asking for more free handouts...you should be ashamed of yourselves.

everything is becoming automated---hell, they even have cars that drive themselves approved for road travel---warehouses are being updated with computerized mechanical devices that replace line workers...why go to a bank when you go to an atm?

OBAMA, ARE YOU GETTING THIS???
hello america!!! here's your daily jobs posting &, between yesterday & today, quite a few school districts are handing out 'pink slips'........http://www.dailyjobcuts.com/ the 2 day total is 1,354 'pink slips' handed out in the education sector alone. unfortunately, a lot more are on the way.
on the face of it, i can't fathom why obama would say his stimulus worked. worked for who? worked how? worked when? he dumped a lot of our money into the education systems & the states. however, if you scroll down the lists of layoffs, bankruptcy's & closings (just for the month of may), you will have a hard time seeing what good that money did.
good people, bailouts don't & won't work until you fix the problem/s that caused the need for the bailout first. all obamas stimulus did was delay what is still occurring daily. let's be real:::::you may have a friend that's a 100% junky; you are not going to keep giving them money every time they become broke however, if they get into a rehab, clean themselves up, you may help them to get back on their feet but, if they go back to drugs, you cut them off. well, obama must have missed the class in STREET 101 &, he was an organizer....??????
schools, county's, city's, states all have the same problem:::::they are paying out much more then they are taking in. they are under contracts with the unions & most of them will have to layoff people & cut services just to almost break even. the union has the upper hand & yet, they continue to want more. the benefits they get while employed &, after they retire are causing the a big part of the problem....the other part of the problem is that less people are employed so there's less money being collected in taxes. another big part of the problem is that money is mis-spent (i'm trying to be nice here) on projects that could be put off until prosperity returns.
because the systems haven't been changed, it makes no sense to continue to bail them out. &, the following is a good reason why we shouldn't be bailing them out---mismanagement of money....

as i said the show was a joke, no, it was a sick joke. i'm sure you have questions of your own that you wished were asked. the number 1 question that should have been asked is, where are the jobs?
since obama is so concerned with the rights of others, if he can federalize same sex marriage, can religious groups that believe in polygamy, marry more then one woman? will he support that small group in america that actually believe in multiple marriage partners?
on another note, i hear moderators comparing the battle for gay rights to those of blacks...gays have not/are not/& will not ever have to endure what blacks went through to get their civil rights. so, please stop comparing them.......

my point is this::::the show didn't ask the hard questions that we need answers to. they 'soft-pedaled' their questions & allowed obama to not have to account for what he's done or not done. it had to have been prearranged & certain topics were off limits---how else can you explain it......
how could a black woman (whoopie), concerned with black issues, not ask obama about the plight of blacks & latinos in this country? she should have asked him::: why is the unemployment rate so much higher for blacks (12%-16%) & latinos (10%-14%) then whites? other then extending unemployment benefits & offering them food stamps, what has he actually done for their betterment? how come they are not included in his 'middle-class' speeches? why are those living on or below the national poverty level not mentioned when he's on tv? why has he been so silent on the drugs, violence & gangs that plague the black & latino community's?
how could a white woman (barbara) who has been successful, not ask obama why she should have to do more for those that do less? (charity begins in the heart & i'm sure that through the years, barbara has done her fair share) why didn't she ask why she should have to contribute to those that don't, & won't, even look for work? why didn't she ask obama why she should do for those that don't, & won't do for themselves? why didn't she ask obama why he has done nothing about our 'entitlements programs' after he has said they need to be overhauled?

america, this show was a joke...the things that are bothering us the most were not even talked about. other then the above, no one asked him what he is doing to bring down the ever rising costs of food. no one asked him why isn't he using our money more effectively instead of pouring it into a 'green' future we are not ready or able to afford? no one asked him to specifically outline his future plans for america's growth. no one asked him if we are better off now then we were 3 1/2 years ago. no one asked him why he allowed americans to lose their homes when the dems had control of both chambers of congress. no one asked him what are his actual plans are to prevent future home losses. no one asked him why he hasn't forced banks to make more loans. no one asked him to honestly explain why buffet paid less taxes then his secretary. no one asked him to explain how he wants congress to close the tax loopholes for the rich & then turn around & offer those very same tax breaks to chevy volt buyers, etc. no one asked him to explain how he could denigrate the teaparty & then support the occupy wallstreet movement. no one asked him why he's against what happened in wisconsin & yet, has said nothing about what's happening in illinois, where the dems want to do the very same thing that gov walker did. no one asked why him why doesn't he suspend his regulations against business's to encourage job growth. no one asked him to explain how he can glorify his bailout to gm & not say anything about their union getting ready to strike. no one asked him to explain his role in our economic downfall when he was a lawyer & trainer for acorn forcing them to make subprime loans. no one asked him why he blames pres bush for all of our problems yet doesn't give him props for trying to get congress to avert the downfall with stronger regulatory measures against fannie mae & freddie mac starting in 2001. no one asked him why he told america that the penalty in obamacare is not a tax & yet, argue in front of the supreme court that it is a tax. no one asked himwhy his college record are still sealed from us......
