hello america! just muttering to myself.......................................
if you don't pay your taxes for 4 years &, you owe the irs a substantial amount, what do you think will happen to you? you'll end up like timothy geithner as secretary of the treasury.
if you don't pay your taxes for 3 years, $140,000 to include interest, what do you think will happen to you? you'll end up like tom daschle & be nominated to be the secretary of health.
if your husband is raking in big money from foreign interests, what do you think will happen to you? you'll end up like hilary clinton as secretary of state.
if you 'aided' in the pardon of someone that shouldn't have been pardoned, what do you think will happen to you? you'll end up like erik holder as attorny general.
do you see the pattern here &, don't forget that obama nominated bill richardson who bowed out amidst an on-going 'pay-for-play' investigation.

Here are former lobbyists Obama has tapped for top jobs:
Eric Holder, attorney general nominee, was registered to lobby until 2004 on behalf of clients including Global Crossing, a bankrupt telecommunications firm.
Tom Vilsack, secretary of agriculture nominee, was registered to lobby as recently as last year on behalf of the National Education Association.
William Lynn, deputy defense secretary nominee, was registered to lobby as recently as last year for defense contractor Raytheon, where he was a top executive.
William Corr, deputy health and human services secretary nominee, was registered to lobby until last year for the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, a non-profit that pushes to limit tobacco use.
David Hayes, deputy interior secretary nominee, was registered to lobby until 2006 for clients, including the regional utility San Diego Gas & Electric.
Mark Patterson, chief of staff to Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, was registered to lobby as recently as last year for financial giant Goldman Sachs.
Ron Klain, chief of staff to Vice President Joe Biden, was registered to lobby until 2005 for clients, including the Coalition for Asbestos Resolution, U.S. Airways, Airborne Express and drug-maker ImClone.
Mona Sutphen, deputy White House chief of staff, was registered to lobby for clients, including Angliss International in 2003.
Melody Barnes, domestic policy council director, lobbied in 2003 and 2004 for liberal advocacy groups, including the American Civil Liberties Union, the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights, the American Constitution Society and the Center for Reproductive Rights.
Cecilia Munoz, White House director of intergovernmental affairs, was a lobbyist as recently as last year for the National Council of La Raza, a Hispanic advocacy group.
Patrick Gaspard, White House political affairs director, was a lobbyist for the Service Employees International Union.
Michael Strautmanis, chief of staff to the president’s assistant for intergovernmental relations, lobbied for the American Association of Justice from 2001 until 2005.
so america, you need to hold obama accountable for what he promised to you for your vote. there is no transparency; there is no break from doing business as usual; there's no ethics &, there's no honest reaching across the isle from obama & his crew.
this site will primarily consist of my political writings on what i see, hear, know &, research &, it will be predominantly about the negativety within our government, as i see it, regardless of who it may be about. above all else, it will be the truth as best i can present it.

OBAMA'S STILL SURROUNDED BY 'SHADY' PEOPLE
hello america! sure hope you still have faith in obama---yeah right. if you do, you're just one of the many that got sucked in by him.
he's been all over tv talking about the need for congress to pass this stimulus bill & yet, what does it do for you? as usual, i can't hear you. it does very little for you & even less for the creation of jobs. he snowed (LIED) you back then & it won't change now. he is a puppet for nancy pelosi & if she farts, she'll blow obamas nose off. but, we'll get back to this...
obama is a big hypocrit & his degrading those on wall street receiving big bonuses should be proof for you. if you remember, obama received $124,ooo. from fannie mae in contributions & has yet to say that was bad money management. he never said anthing about former ceo franklin raines raking in those big bucks. he never said anything about timothy geithner raking in those big bucks.
obama says this financial crisis is no fault of the american people---what he doesn't say (you can google this yourself) is that when he was a lawyer, he & others sued banks (CITY GROUP, ILLINOIS, 1993) under cra---forcing banks to give loans to the less-then-credit-worthy.
now the obama camp is putting together a plan to limit the pay of execs to $400,000. or less. this is crap-it's government steping in where it should have never been in the first place. it's also another ruse for government control.
he told us this crap about transparancy & under which conditions lobbyists could serve in his administration:::google his crew & you'll see his policy is a do as i say, not as i do one.
besides all that, look at timothy geithner & tom daschle---both of them had serious tax problems. geithner 'cleaned' his problem up just days before obama officially selected him &, daschle 'cleaned' his up after being selected by obama. nope, no business as usual here!
america, when & if you actually look at the bill (HR1) that passed in the house, you'll be both happy & sad...happy that none of the republicans voted for it along with 11 democrats...sad that the democrats that did vote for it say they voted with our best interests at heart.
socialism, censorship, & government privatization right around the corner. yep, you wanted change & pretty soon that's all you'll be earning.

OBAMA, TRY DOING THIS
hello america! i just finished reading the american recovery & reinvestment act that obama has been been pushing for. if you have the time to read it for yourself you'll come to the same conclusion that i did---it's full of crap. very expensive crap at that.
the democrats can jump up & down all they want telling us what a gift to us they are but, this bill really sucks. it does extremely little for us...&, that's the bottom line. america needs help now & this bill does not provide it.
in my post yesterday, i finished with about 56,000 people losing their jobs. i wake up today & the figure is around 72,000 with more coming. what part of "SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE NOW" does obama not understand? if he honestly thinks that the bill the house will vote on this week is the answer to americas cry for help, we are doomed even beyond my dire predictions.
i know obama & his crew wanted to grab the bull by its horns but, they can't even find the bull. &, i can see why obama wanted to rush timothy geithner in as sec of the treasury---one crook helping another. when you read the bill & see how much money geithner will have control of to allocate as he deems necessary, you'll understand it to.
obama, i shouldn't have to tell you how to do your job but, somebody has to & that crew you have surrounding you is worthless...
if you were a man of action this is what you would do for the american people...
1...go to the house, tell them the federal government will help big businesses
2...tell them you need a bill that will freeze the big companies assets & those of their managers &
make it retro-active for three years
3...tell them that those companies have 120 days to show evidence of turning their problems
around
4...tell them those companies will freeze hirings & firings until futher notice
5...tell them that if the companies fail to comply, the federal government will take over on a
temporary basis
6...tell them that after the feds take over, there will be a penalty to be paid to the feds by the
management which will include the frozen assets & jail time---healthy jail time of not less
then three years
7...tell them that after the feds take over, the company will be auctioned off to the highest,
responsible bidder
8...tell them that those managers will not be permitted to be rehired in their present capacity
by any other company for five years
9...tell them the companies would have to pay the feds the top dollar during the take over
walk your butt into the senate & repeat the whole thing again...
obama, this has to be done before the public can know about it because some of the management of some of these companies would sell off their stocks & assets to others so as to have them when they got out of jail.
somewhere along the route you would have to make a determination as to who is big business---very few companies with only 25 or less employees, make millions every year so, this would have to based on companies with employees in the hundreds.
obama, there are those that say the feds don't belong in private business &, for the most part, i strongly agree but, these are not normal times &, they call for not normal actions. if sears & the rest of the companies their size, said the hell with it & started downsizing, where would we be &, more importantly, what would your recovery package mean then?
but, i really should be addressing this to nancy pelosi because you don't have the balls for it & hers are much bigger then yours...it's a fact. without her there, you can't even scratch your head.

BIG BUSINESS IS THE PROBLEM
hello america! I won't hold it against you for not wishing me a happy birthday however, i will accept belated presents & money.
one doesn't have to be an economic major to see that the obama & his crew are forcefully blowing smoke up our butts about their economic stimulus package. based on everything i have read or heard, the bill is going to be a big bust.
the very first government bailout hasn't done a bit of good for us &, the bailouts since the first one haven't worked. so, why spend nearly a trillion dollars more chasing a bad dream?
obama & crew have painted a very dim picture of our present economic problems &, they do not have the answers to fix them. their bailout is just another way of for them to spend our money as they see fit.
all this talk about infrastructure repair & building, along with the greenery of public buildings won't help us any time soon. little (small) business can only do so much for us in these dire times.
banks aren't lending, home owners are still losing their homes &, our big three (automakers) still cannot produce a vehicle to compete with the foreign car. &, just look at the amount of federal money these three sectors received &, obama wants to give them more? they all need more money---where will it stop?
big companies are massively downsizing, ceo's are still receiving there bonuses & perks, one bank received money & went & bought another bank & the plan for 'saving' the economy just won't work.
obama & his panal of experts have it wrong-bailing out the above named sectors & providing stability to small businesses won't stem the tide. obama & his crew keep saying they need to keep the small businesses afloat &, if you look at or hear the daily news, small businesses have nothing to do with the present economic problems...not a thing.
BIG BUSINESSES ARE THE PROBLEMS & HERE'S WHY:::
microsoft corp-laying off 5,000 people
intel corp-laying off 6,000 people
ual corp-laying off 1,000 people
home depot-laying off 7,000 people
sprint-laying off 8,ooo people (between now & end of this march)
caterpillar-laying off 20,000 people
pfizer (just bought drugmaker wyeth for $68 billion)-laying off 8,000 people.
55,000 people are losing their jobs, starting now or in the very near future &, all of this information has come in since this morning & it's only 9:42am/est-1/26/09 &, more jobs are forecast to be lost.
hold it-this just in...starbuck's-laying off 1,000 people.
how obama can put small businesses & our economic problems in the same paragraph is beyond me. if small businesses were the problem, we wouldn't have a problem. if several small businesses laid off workers it wouldn't even make the news---you know it & i know it &, we're being fed this crap from the obama camp about how small businesses are the backbone of this country & need this stimulus package. yeah, feed me burnt popcorn & sugarless koolade & then tell me it's a seven star dinner.
the banking, housing &, auto sectors are not small businesses & look at how much money they have alreadys received (& want more) & then, find yourself a small business that received some of that same bailout money. i can't hear you. surely, you must know of one-don't you?
america being the land of dreams, i'll bet none of those people being laid off saw this coming in '06/'07. &, i'd also bet that the majority of them voted for obama---i wonder if they had a vote today would they cast it for this great man of vision that never saw anything in his life.
to fix the current problems ---we need to fix big businesses---not laughing now are you but, mccain did have it right. they need tax cuts & incentives to remain solvent &, most of all, they need honest regulation to prohibit greed & corruption.
another thing, people are less likely to spend their money because obama & his crew have scared them. their immediate future has been painted so uncertain that they will hold onto whatever they do have. yet, obama & his crew want to put you deeper in debt.
&, here it is-12:17pm/est & gm has just announced the laying off of 2,000 people. didn't they get money to prevent this or do am i confused. in either caes, just give them some more so that their ceo's can continue to live the 'fat' lifestyle.

& HE JUST STARTED WORKING AS THE PRES
hello america! it's ben 3 days since obama was sworn in & already the writing on the wall is becoming clearer. everybody says to give obama a chance but, when i see him doing just the opposite of what he promised, i am compelled to speak my mind.
i have several issues that i have a problem with:::transparancy; abortion; gitmo; &, the economy.
the obama camp knew about the tax problems of timothy geithner before his being named sec of the treasury &, that he paid the back taxes owed just days before obama officially named selected him. this smacks of back door crap-they know it, you know it &, i know it. it has been reported that certain senators had inside knowledge & were asked to keep silent until obame broke the news. the media really needs to look into this & report the truth about it.
obama knew about bill clintons connection to the foundation & saw no conflict of interest by naming hilary as sec of state. the confirmation committee supposedly worked out something that is very mysterious to me. bill might not be receiving a paycheck from the foundation or the countries involved but, clearly, there is a conflict of interest here.
obamas being resworn without the usual fanfare of media present looks like a 'pay-for-play' deal. out of all the pictures taken only 1 is allowed to surface? if i'm not mistaken, 3 media outlets refused to release any more of them. what's wrong with this picture?
LET'S SEE!!!
you can deliberately not pay your taxes (even after signing the instruction forms for filing your taxes from the imf) & your reward is to be confirmed to sec of treasury. &, then the obama camp feeds you this crap about geithner being so smart & these dire times need him. based on that, why not put madhof in charge of our bonds? geithner should never have been nominated much less confirmed &, if he were the man obama paints him to be, he would resign. how is one to trust him or those responsible for his being where he is? don't pay your taxes for 4 years, then pay 2 years back taxes whenever you get around to it, talk to some governor about a treasury position &, then pay off the other 2 years of back taxes prior to being publicly nominated. this is like putting a child molester in charge of a daycare.
the hilary & senators may have come to an agreement about her conflict of interest involving the imf fund but, those countries involved in it now have more leverage then they had before. her nomination is a big mistake. gen powell would have been a better fit.
i don't beleive that any man has the right to tell a women whether she can or can't give birth. however, i don't think federal dollars should be used if the women decides to abort the pregnancy. if she can afford it, fine-abort; if she can't afford it, fine-have the child. why should i have to pay for this? everyone knew that obama was extremely liberal &, regardless of what he said or says, you are about to find out just how liberal he really is. lifting the ban on the use of federal funds for abortions is just plain wrong.
when all of you see what all comes out of this stimulus package that obama insists will jump start the economy---you're going to be very disappointed:even you die-hard obamaholics. if obama & washington were serious about helping the economy, they'd help those big companies that are laying off workers by the hundreds so that they wouldn't have to down-size. we don't need tax cuts, we need dollars to spend. this package is a farce &, the only thing it's going to accomplish is putting us deeper in debt. as i understand it, millions of dollars are going to the prophylactic industry. yeah, that's a sure way to help the economy. please remember that obama told us that there will be no earmarks in this bill. this bill will be for economic recovery only. well, again, you've been had. when the final bill is in print, i know you're going to find several large items in it that even you will question.
obama thought that closing gitmo would be easy---it's anything but. he's finding that out the hard way. who wants these prisoners next door to them? we already released one of them that's now a top al-quaida officer in yemen. yeah, let them all go, they are only going to try to kill more americans. &, don't forget to rewards their bad intentions by giving them american rights. obama, i have an idea! why don't you build a modern facility for them right next to the white house where you can see that they get treated right. just don't forget to allow room for a golf course & olympic size swimming pool. moving the prisoners out of gitmo will create problems that i don't think obama ever considered---so much for his panal of advisors...their first test & they flunked it big time.
america, what really bothers me more then anything is, obama is not the person he painted himself to be & you fell for what you saw & heard. had you have done your homework on him diligently, someone else would be president.
what i like about obama & his camp is that very soon they will prove just how great bush was for this country, to include his mistakes.
& don't forget, nancy pelosi has vowed to raise our taxes & i, for one, can see it coming soon.

& don't forget, nancy pelosi has vowed to raise our taxes & i, for one, can see it coming soon.

LETTER TO OBAMA
hello america! i have yet to finish an earlier writing concerning obama being sworn in &, for anyone looking for it, i promise to get back to it very soon. but, first, i must write this letter to my new president so he'll know where i stand, what i expect, what i need, &, what all i don't want.
obama, congratulations to you & i am happy for you. that being said, i must say this...i am extremely informal in my writings:::no tittles, no capital letters in names (generally), no mr & mrs:::nope, none of that. plus, i can be very sarcastic at times. so, if you can accept that, please read on.
you ran on a platform of "change" & how you are the only one that can fix america's problems. i've listened to you & i have been very judgemental & critical about you & your plans for my country. &, no where in your plans did you address the issues that affect each & every one of us daily. america became so caught up in your smooth, flowery rhetoric that they failed to hear what you didn't say. well, i'm here to tell you that i heard what you didn't say.
you know better then most that in order to grow, you must start as a little seed, then you root, then you sprout &, if you're lucky, you blossom. buildings are built from the ground up: in other words, everything in life starts from ground zero. isn't that how you grew? from a seed?
well, my country needs to be allowed to 'grow' &, to be honest, your plans do not allow for that growth. your plans sound great & offer hope but, they don't address the problems that hinder america's growth.
yes, we are in dire times which call for drastic actions but, the actions you plan won't help us as a people. &, in a minute, i'll prove to you why.
the greatest problem facing america is, we have allowed politicians & the supreme court to peel off the layers of what made america america. america's history is deeply rooted in churches & organizations & GOD, the american flag, schools & education, parenting, neighbors helping neighbors, mom & pop stores & (MOST IMPORTANTLY), the american will to remain a free country &, english. just eight little things but, together, they make up the foundation of this great nation--- from the ground up.
our foundation has been trampled & undermined by the very system installed to guarantee its survival (OF WHICH YOU ARE NOW THE LEADER). &, it amazes me that you continue to fail to address these issues.
SO, LET'S DO SO NOW BUT, NOT IN THE ORDER THEY'RE LISTED!
the american flag is the symbol that represents us here as well as abroad. it should be given the utmost respect &, no other flag should be raised higher then it. well, somewhere along the line, some idiots in washington felt it would do their constituents good to allow the desecration of our flag &, this needs to stop. if i am correct, you voted to allow the desecration of our flag. how can our flag be a representation of this country when we allow it to be worn on it's citizens butts & burned. obama, restore the respect to our flag that it deserves---after all, america saw you salute &/or put a hand to your heart (as did your wife) as our flag passed your inaguration viewing station. don't be a hypocrit, have washington make flag desecration a felony with strong penalties.
schools & education have always been part of the american backbone. building better schools, raising teachers pay &, providing the opportunity for every child to get a good, affordable education does not address the problem. the biggest problems concerning our school systems are: the crime rate for all schools has gone up (some even have police stationed within the schools). there are gangs in & around the schools. drugs are being sold & used within the schools. parents, organizations, communitees &, churches lack the power to enforce their child's attendance.
obama, you may mean well but, since you're there, why not do the best job you can for us? fix the problems that have allowed our school systems to fall apart to the point that our children attend school to 'hang out' & show off the hottest gear & bling-bling. if you think that your plan will solve this problem, you're crazy. take the worst part of your home state---has to be chi-town---build a better building, pay the teachers top pay, make it as 'green' as you want &, mandate its affordability & then tell me you solved the problem. be for real! a lot of teachers have lost their true desire to teach because of the conditions they are confronted with. a lot of the students don't get to learn all they should because of the conditions they're confronted with. a lot of kids don't go to shool or cut out of school & nothing is done about it---i should say, very little is done about it. intead of punishing the child, the system punishes the parent or guardian with fines &/or jail time. & yet, the parent or guardian lacks the authority to 'force' the child to school whether it be from fear of the child &/or fear of the penal system (they call it "child abuse now").
no, your plan is only window dressing & i'm here to tell you it won't stay in the window long. fix the conditions & the overcrowding & the system will take care of itself (even in an old shack).
parents & guardians, as stated above, have very litle influence on their children. they can't lay down the law as they once could for fear of being hauled off to jail. our system has become so backwards that it allows children to sue their paents & guardians &/or jail them. yes, i had my butt beaten by my father with a belt. i know now that i am better off for it. yes, there is a point when it crosses the line & only then should the authorities step in. let's see: there's verbal abuse, abuse through intimadation, there's physical abuse, there's kidnapping by forceably keeping a child from going out &, there's mental abuse. the line between 'good' & 'bad' abuse is so frail & grey that it can be stepped over without ill will towards the child. obama, if you really want to fix anything, give the parent & guardian back the authority they once ruled their home with.
also a major part of this problem is that one of the parents can walk away from their responsibilities with very little repercussions & divorce is extremely easy to attain. children are having children. too many children being born out of wedlock. these are our problems & they are very real. fix them!
english should be our national language by law. if one wants to enter our country, learning english must be mandatory. if we should choose to learn another language, fine. as a true american, i am tired of government issued papers in multiple languages. same thing with calling different companies. i'm american & we speak english here. make it mandatory for all who enter our borders to learn it & speak it---this is not to say that they cannot speak their own language,,,they should but, don't force it on me. don't come to my country & tell me i have to live by your rules or speak your language---i'm american, it's just that simple.
attendance for churches & the various organizations that serve america is down. parents can't get their children to attend & washington has to accept a lot of the blame. by taking GOD & religion out of the schools-specifically, the pledge of allegiance, & ruling what can & can't be in public buildings has had a trickle down effect on us. if church & state must be so severely separated, why is a clergyman allowed to say a prayer before the proceedings & why is the GOOD BOOK still allowed to be sworn on? you did it. we are a country where the majority of us do beleive in GOD, &, the CROSS should be allowed to hang in all public buildings. if you are truely a man of & for the people, make it happen.
america used to be filled with neighbors helping neighbors & watching overs each others children without having to be asked to do so. when one was sick, they would bring you a pot of home made soup. they always talked to one another & shared coffee & cakes. they looked out for one another & their neighborhoods. now a days, they barely nod at one another. neighborhoods are over run with gangs, drugs &, crime. people are afraid to go out at night &, in some areas, they are afraid to go out in the day. it wouldn't be too bad if it were just american gangs doing business here; no we have chineese gangs, russian gangs, jamaican gangs &, mexican gangs...they come from all over the world & some of them are extremely brutal. neighborhoods can't be fixed until the gangs are rooted out, crime is shrunken &, drugs weeded out. you want america to grow, eliminate those three problems.
obama, your plan to help the little businessman won't work & i don't care how much money you pour into it. since the creation of malls & the chains of grocery stores, the mom & pop stores were doomed to die. if you honestly wanted to help the little businesses, you would be 'killing' america. your point on jobs being lost & unemployment skyrocketing is well known & agreed to. however, take a good look at just how many of the little businesses are going overseas & when you talk of the laying off by the thousands, the little businessman's company is not even in the same paragraph. it's the big companies that are firing & laying off their workers or, moving overseas.
if you wanted to help the mom & pop stores the only way you could do it would be to close the walmarts, the k-marts, the sears, the t-mobiles etc...the little business sector is hurting because they can't compete with the larger chainstores. especially in the food market. you can answer this for america & settle any dispute we may have about the little business company; did you get your suit from the washington hood-which is about 4 blocks from your front door? or did you go to your old neighborhood (altgeld gardens or that area) & get the little tailer to make it? now you can see why the little busiman is having such a hard time. & yes, target is all over & has helped put the little business out of business because the little man can't compete with them. it's simple math.
i live in allentown pa & since home depot showed up, the small businesses that were selling the same products as home depot have collasped, sold out or, just simply disappeared. they couldn't compete with the prices, the services, the selections &, the warranties.
obama, be careful of what you promise us. in order for you to allow the little businesses to grow, you have to close or downsize the bigger ones & you know the repercussions of that would swell the unemployment lines greatly.
america's will to remain free will always be at the forefront of thought whenever facing foreign dangers with or without you. you can either make us stronger, or you can make us weaker. i honestly hope it's the former of the two. it doesn't take a general or congressman/woman to tell anyone that our military has kept us safe. our weapon systems & troops need to be the best of the best &, above all else, we must always be totally willing to employ our military without second thought. that & that alone is what has kept us free.
obama, if you can handle the above problems, you will truely help this country in ways it hasn't been helped for decades. they are the real problems that affect each & every one of us daily. &, even though i voted for mccain, i accept you as my president & will support you 100%, but, I, as an american, need the above problems fixed first.
thankyou!

EAGLE FANS, SUCK IT UP
hello america! if you're really into football, you had to enjoy the the nfl & afl championship games regardless of who's your team. the two games lived up to all the hype---there was defense, there was offense &, the special teams held their own. coaches were trying to out-coach their counterparts &, the replay camera shots were great. it seemed like the games were packed with excitement & suspense.
well, can't please everybody. so, today, we have to deal with those that say the eagles got robbed. the refs didn't call pass interference on a play where the defender slipped & perhaps caused the receiver to fall. there was contact but, replay didn't show a picture of the defender actually tripping the receiver. it did show that the receiver didn't make the catch & should have. so, eagle fans, suck it up...you complain about the no-call & yet, you have nothing to say about the muffed call on one of the kickoffs when the ref called the ball out of bounds---&, it wasn't. should have been cardinals ball arond the eagles 30 yard line &, with the way the cards were playing the 1st half, it would have been lights out for the eagles right then. instead, no call & it gave the eagles life & hope, which, they almost made the most of.
mcchoke, excuse me, mcnabb, still cannot perform at his best when under game pressure. even though he threw the eagles back in it---to the point that just about everybody was thinking they were going to win it, he failed to show up when they needed him most. he overthrew one receiver &, threw behind another who'd still be running if the pass were accurate. they had their chances.
however, it would not be fair to give all the blame to mcchoke---he doesn't play on the defensive side of the ball. the eagle defense in the 1st half just was not there. &, they showed up in the 2nd half only part of the time. this was a day in which the eagle defense & offense didn't play the 1st half.
so, eagle fans, if you need a refs call to advance to the next round, you have no business being there.
congrats to the cardinals & steelers...also, hopes & prayers that willis mcgahee will be okay. i've heard some already say that it was an illegal hit but, when you really watch the replay, mcgahee lowered his head first.
wish we had more match-ups like these two games all season long.
arizona cardinals & superbowl do belong in the same sentence---just ask the eagles.
