OBAMA, PLEASE KEEP RACE OUT OF IT!!!

hello america!!! i can only guess that congress went after roger clemens because he played with black baseball players...a lie is a lie no matter the color of the liar. i heard it with my own ears & saw it with my own eyes...if you're not sure of when you first learned about something, say you're not sure. don't give a date & when that date is proven false, change your story. ag, william holder, has allowed this to be a bigger issue then it should be. hey, if there's nothing there, submit the requested documents redacted & go on about your business........

now, let's get back to that 'voter suppression' crap...i ask if nancy pelosi or those 'so-called' black leaders that are supporting holder, have valid id cards, valid driver's licenses or, 'up-to-date' voting cards? were they all able to open their bank accounts without valid id? are they able to file their taxes without a valid social security number? can they all register their cars without a valid drivers license? can they get car insurance without it? & nancy, when you're in washington, can i just stop by & get in to see you if i can't prove who i am?

it really pisses me off that we are not just one nation. i live in allentown pa & my grandson attends william allen. i had to exchange my id card for a pass at the security booth just to get in the school to go to the office & sign my grandson out for an emergency. i then had to show my id card to the receptionist at the st luke's emergency room & she made a copy of it. TRUE STORY!!! another true story is, i needed to 'prove' who i was when i first received my library card..........

this november, those who want to vote in allentown pa will need valid id. i see nothing wrong or racial with this. i honestly believe that everybody within our borders should be able to prove who they are. now these people can use the 'race' argument anyway they wish however, i'm betting the farm that, if i ask the black caucus to help me obtain a loan (for whatever reason), they're going to know who i am before the conversation even gets that far.

i was born in the era of adam clayton powell & i grew up in a melting pot in yonkers & bklyn ny...so, i do know a little sumtin-sumtin...i commend the naacp for all that they have achieved over the years but, if a large group of unknown blacks & latino's were to start badgering the board for a new leader, i'll bet they'll be asked to prove who they are...

on the other hand, if the repubs were somehow able to get enough undocumented residents to vote against nancy pelosi, do you think she would be happy with the results if she was voted out of office? she's a good sport so, she'd probably just accept it & walk away....YEAH, RIGHT!!!!!!

if getting to the 'gov't centers & the costs of getting valid id are actually hardships, there are numerous agency's out there only too willing to help...however, the argument that requiring these people to get valid id or valid voter cards is weak. it's weak because you expect these same people to get to the polls to cast their vote for whom you favor & that is not a hardship. what you're saying is: it's okay to forget the hardship for the people to get there & cast their vote but, it's not okay for them to have to travel that same distance to obtain valid id, etc...........

i guess it's okay for any black or latino to come along & marry your daughter or son & never have to prove who they are!!! yeah, right. & when you do that background check on them & find out who they say they are doesn't exist, you'll just let it go at that.

look, we have become a nation of 'find out who you're doing business with before you do it'. if nancy pelosi were moving all of her home furnishings to ny & i came along to do the moving, would you have my back if she asked me for my id & proof of insurance & i couldn't produce either? could we call her a racist? would i make the front page or foxnews?

call me whatever but, new yorkers know that when they get in a taxi, that pictured id of the driver is where they can see it &, if they look at that picture & it's a very light skinned face & yet the driver is jet black, are you going to be comfortable? what do you do when the id isn't there?

i cannot understand why some policy's apply to one group of blacks or latino's & not the others. perhaps if an arizonian black or latino doesn't have to provide proof of who they are, that same policy should have to apply to the ny black & latino cops & bank cashiers that applied for those jobs..let's just go id-less......

instead of calling in the 'race card', wouldn't we better be serving our underprivileged people by assisting them in their efforts to 'prove' who they are? hell, look at obamas immigration plan---they even have to 'prove' certain things before they benefit from obamas executive privilege......

the criteria as outlined in the above homeland security article has me wondering::::how do they 'prove' they meet the standards? how does one enter our schools & armed forces without documentation? i'm a 10 year vet & i know what i had to have to get in. do you mean to tell me that i can move to alabama & just enroll my grandson in school without providing valid id? how does one prove they have 'resided' here (illegally) for 5 continuous years or entered our country before their 16th birthday? how do they 'prove' they are not older then 30? as for the criminal record part, only time will tell because there are numerous cases of people giving false names to the police & it's not caught until later...i know because i managed a temp agency for 1 1/2 years.....

well, i did not mean to write all this but since i'm here: i honestly feel that the 'criteria' set for the 'undocumented' is far worse then requiring them to obtain a valid id card or properly register to vote.

now, if i offended anybody, it is what it is. it wasn't intended. that said, when & if these 'children' step forward to take advantage of this new program, what happens to the parents of these kids if they are found: to have committed a serious crime? had been deported (or ordered deported) & have returned to our shores? or, are a threat to our security? DO WE BREAK UP THE FAMILY BY DEPORTING THEM? JUST WHAT DOES HAPPEN TO THEM?

bottom line: i am strongly in favor of voting rights for everybody that qualifies. i am also strongly in favor of whoever resides within our borders be able to prove who she or he is at all times.

in closing, i applaud those that stand up for the rights of those that can't however, i suggest that caution be used. william holder is responsible for this mess &, if he, as the head legal brain in the country doesn't know how to answer questions from a house of reps' questions, he should be on his own...i would rather the NAACP get involved in the following & find the truth about the claims it makes.....

again, i thank the NAACP for trying to fight for the rights of those that can't...by the way, where's our ag, william holder on the above article????
