hello america!!! my question; are we, as a country, better off now then we were four years ago? my answer; emphatically no! i base my answer on the following factors:::::
1.....the national unemployment rate was 7.8% when obama took office; rose to 10%; sank to 8.1%; & now stands at 8.2%---if you care to be reminded, obama said that because of his stimulus, the rate would not go above 8%
2.....since obama took over, this country is still down 473,000 jobs as of the end of june 2012 (while obama is so quick to tout the jobs gained numbers, he must also be held responsible for the jobs lost numbers)
3.....obamas stimulus was supposed to 'save' this nation however, it did not work. jobs in both the private & public sector are still being lost; banks still aren't making loans; homes are still being lost through foreclosures; states still need more bailouts; green company's & green jobs failures at our expense; jobs training programs failed miserably; &, "those shovel ready jobs were not that shovel ready". although obama never admitted his stimulus failed with those words, he did admit it by saying if he's re-elected, he's promising 4 more years of the same
4.....just about every other day you read or hear about another obama admin scandal. you may not want to read this however, this admin is going to go down in history as being the 'dirtiest'. he hired a lot of 'lawbreakers' & 'lobbyists' & he cannot control his own house & just get ready for another one involving the head of our treasury dep't (timothy geithner) & another one involving our money used for prostitution in 2010
5.....obama took an oath to uphold the laws & constitution of this country &, he has used his position to select which laws he does or doesn't want to support
6.....obama lies too much to be in charge of anything: he lied to the latino community about the 'dream act' failure to pass congress---(google the vote); he lied to the unions about 'putting on a soft pair of shoes & marching with them; he lied to active duty mititary & our vets about having our backs after he had tried to dip into our benefits
7.....obamas recent comments on how we're doing 'fine', 'we're heading in the right direction' & his comments about business's---he's out of touch
8.....obamas inability to get his own budget through the dem controlled senate
9.....obamas promise to have cut the national deficit in 1/2 by his 1st 3 years in office
10...obamas inability to break the 'gridlock' in washington
11...obamas campaign tactics are completely negative & several 'reputable' sources have proven his claims against gov mitt romney to be false
12...46-48 million americans are on food stamps
13...obama has caused this country too much with his distractions, distortions &, division
