hello america! the following comes from my earlier writings that i had stored on another hard drive that i recently got opened...please enjoy.
hello america! the first thing i want to talk about is the house passing the automakers 14 billion dollar bailout bill. all the democrats voted for it as did just 30 sorry-assed republicans. i cannot beleive that any of the politicians voted for it but, i am not shocked that the dems took the forefront on it (they like spending our money). anyhow, i saw all that c-span showed us &, i absorbed every word spoken. what i found extremely troubling is the dems praising the highpoints of the bill & the safeguards they installed in it &, out of all the hundreds of house members voting, not one idiot (repubs included) got up & asked this: what guarantees do the automakers give us that if they fail to adopt a comprehensible program prior to march 2009 that they will have the 14 billion dollars left to repay us? i know, you know, & those washington idiots know that the we are not going to go out there & buy all the american-made cars at this time. yes, some will but, a lot more won't. people are holding onto their money because of the economy, the housing crisis &, the unstable job market. &, as if they those same idiots didn't know it, it's christmas time & buying a new car is not number one on the list, at least it isn't for most of us.
the american auto industry has not kept pace with their foreign counterparts &, it's going to take years for them to span that gap. their prices are too high, their maintenance plans & services are too high &, their parts are too high. plus, a lot of the foreign imports get better miles per gallon. consider all the above & couple it with the following: the auto industries labor & management costs, healthcare & insurance costs, &, advertizing costs (just to name a few) are all out of wack. washington is telling the automakers to tell its people to make consessions.
with all the problems in the housing & financial markets, getting credit has become even harder &, it's not likely to get easier anytime soon.
i am not an expert on what the auto industry needs to do to become more competitive & show a healthy profit but, i am smart enough to know they can't turn it around with just 14 billion dollars. they'll be back in january asking for more. washington opened this revolving door & i don't blame any company for walking through it. for that matter, the airlines industry is next in line but, that's another story.
it's going to take a long time to get the industry to where they should be & 14 billion dollars just isn't enough. it would not surprise me if one or more file for bankruptcy which is the american way & what they should have done. the industry knew they were having problems long before this bill was even dreamed of & yet, they sat back, kept running like nothing was wrong & now, here they are with their hands out & sorry assed washington helps them.
washington could have at least put in motion a plan for the ceos of these failing companies to repay whatever outrageous bonuses they received. the ceos screwed these companies & should be held accountable in a court of law. the hearings in washington are a joke &, are not as productive as we're led to beleive.
i realize that if the auto industry collaspes there will be wide-spread unemployment & more problems for our economy---i don't want to see anybody lose their job & on the other hand, i don't want to be the one paying through my butt for them to keep it. i beleive that if the auto industry filed for bankruptcy (as did k-mart) they could recover (as did k-mart).
washington is so spend happy which is okay providing they spend the money on worthwhile projects such as healthcare or education. giving 14 billion dollars to the auto industry is just 14 billion dollars we will have to replace.-12/11/08-9:47pm est
this site will primarily consist of my political writings on what i see, hear, know &, research &, it will be predominantly about the negativety within our government, as i see it, regardless of who it may be about. above all else, it will be the truth as best i can present it.

OBAMA DID NOT INHERIT THIS MESS
hello america! i am so tired of obama & the democrats telling us that they inherited this financial mess. it's a sorry-assed cop-out. so, i'm here to set the record straight.
the democrats, to include obama, took control of the house & senate in 2006. so, they have been in control for 2 plus years &, didn't do crap to try & avert the mess we're now in. 2 plus years , america &, they say they inherited it.
so, i ask you, what did obama do in the 2 plus years he was a senator in washington? what did he do to try & get a fix on the this financial mess? name the bills he introduced or tried to introduce for tighter regulatory measures on fannie & freddie. for that matter, name me the democrats that introduced or tried to introduce any bills for stronger regulatory measures. can't name any because they did nothing. how quickly they want you to forget that their approval rating was lower then the presidents. & they thanked you for voting them into power by not doing a single thing for you.
how they (the dems) can even open their mouths & pass the blame to others is amazing. &, they are not alone because there are plenty of repubs that did nothing also. but, i'm talking about those dems that say they inherited this mess. it's a lie no matter how you look at it.
history will prove that obama had a direct hand in adding to this mess. anybody care to refute this? come on, take a shot. i can prove what i say.
you have bill clinton signing a little piece of paper back in the early 90's (91) that allowed obama & others to sue lenders to force them to make loans to the less-then-credit-worthy.
you have certain dems that fought against stronger regulatroy measures for the longest---they, & others, fought bush on every time he called for stronger measures. by name they are, chris dodd, barney franks & harry reid & their names come up whenever there was a need to stop stronger measures.
so america, how can they say they inherited it? obama used cra to sue citigroup in 93 to force them to make loans to people that could not afford to repay them. &, he did nothing as a senator in washington to help the american people. can you name anything he did? anything for the good of this country?-----your silence is a hell of an answer>
