hello america! finally, some good news & our government had nothing to do with it although i'm sure obama will take credit for it. apparently, citigroup/bank made a profit, posted it, &, the stock market is reacting favorably to it with a plus 273.75 as of 11:33am/est & climbing.
if we would keep the government out of this mess, it would sort itself out that much faster. but, somewhere, one of our elected officials is going to open their mouth & say something stupid & the market will fall again.
obama, take notes & let the private sector take care of itself because you & your admin don't know how.

that if the banks aren't lending, you find a way to enable them to lend & obama, your plans don't help them.
if homes are being foreclosed on, you find a way to stop the foreclosures & obama, your plans don't help them.
if the auto industry can't sell their products, you let them file bankruptcy & start all over & obama, your plans don't help them.
if companies are laying off employees by the hundreds, you find a way to allow those companies to retain those workers & obama, your plans don't help them.
if the public sector isn't spending money, you find a way to stimulate them to do so & obama, your plans don't help them.
obama, you talk a great game but, actions will always speak louder then words &, your actions up to this point are at best, a little sigh. man up & do the right thing for this great nation...

hello america! i don't need a year to judge what obama has or hasn't done for my country. he's been on tv & running all over the country spewing his rhetoric---&, the bottom line is, nothing has been done. there's been a lot of posturing & pointing the finger but, obama has not solved one single problem nor has he put into place anything to stop the bleeding in the future. & yet, there are those obama supporters that think everything he touches turns to gold.
well, i'm here to bust their bubble & this is why:::::
1.....jobs are still being lost
2.....banks still aren't lending
3.....homes are still being foreclosed on
4.....bailouts are still being doled out without positive results
5.....the stock market continues to tank
6.....congress is still divided with those that really care & those that want to spend your money
7.....banks are still being closed from failure
8.....jobs have not been created
9.....'earmarks/pork projects' still abound in the bills sent to obama
10...obama continues to lie to us
11...cobra is a joke
12...transparency is not transparent
13...high ethical & morale standards are not non-existent in the obama administration
14...the agencies in washington that don't work are still there
15...government has been expanded
16...small businesses are still hurting with no help in sight
17...middle-class america will have to foot the bill
18...all the various charities that we need are really hurting
19...obama will create more jobs overseas then here in the states
20..12 million plus illegal aliens to become citizens (to protect obamas aunt)
21...this great nation continues to have a serious homeless problem
22...obama still does not reach across the isle-i've said it before. he needs to sit down with the
majority & minority leaders of both the house & senate (with cameras present) & tell them
what he needs; what he wants; what he doesn't want; what he doesn't need; what he
expects &, that both parties must work togeher.
if you want more reasons, i can list them for you but, i thought 21 would get you to thinking. however, i do want you to think of the following::::::
1.....why should you have to pay for overseas abortions?
2.....if you live in new york, should you have to pay for a high speed rail service from las vegas to
los angelos?
3.....if you live in one state, should you have to pay for another state to clean up pig smells?
4.....should you have to pay another state money because they mismanaged their money by
building a ballfield or stadium?
5.....should you have to pay for joe bidens trip to the afl-cio bash & then they won't even tell
you why?
america, i could go on & on &, you know it. if obama were as serious as he wants you to think he is, he could have done something to stop the bleeding immediately. instead, he wants to sneakily raise the federal tax on cigarettes by .62 (cents) per pack. i can afford it but, when you think of all those that can't & bought 'rollies' &, you see what all he's charging them, you'll know this man is not for us. & all this crap from a man that won't leave home without his tele-prompters. my people, if nothing else gets to you, that should.
how can i trust the president of my great country if he doesn't even trust himself speaking to me without his words being written down where he can see them. &, another thing is, because of his tele-prompters, he can't look you in the eye.

AMERICA, I'M HAPPY TODAY
hello america! happy sunday to you! it's about 55* here & raining. i've got my windows wide open & am enjoying the breeze. i am drinking a molson ice &, if i don't spill any on the keyboard, i'll get around to writing about what's on my mind.
most of my friends are obamaholics & last night during a spades game, there was a very heated debate about what all he has accomplished. well, you know me, i was agreeing with them on one hand & beating the crap out of them on the other.
as strange as this may sound, (none of them wanted to pay for foreign abortions, they didn't want to support those living beyond their means, they didn't want to continue to pay for the bailouts to the industries & markets, they are very skepticle about closing gitmo, they all are pissed about obama sneaking a tax increase on their cigarettes, they can't understand how the wealthy & businesses are going to be the only ones to pay for obamas healthcare package) they sounded like me. i don't think i made them feel any better when i told them they should have voted for anybody other then obama. homegirl turned on her puter & i directed them to look up different things in support of both sides of the debate...it was more then fair & balanced & i feel really good that i could help open their eyes.....there was so much they didn't know.
they promised to get in contact with our elected officials & give them a piece of their mond---out of the 11 of us, i know of 5 that will really follow through with that.
now, if only i could open the eyes of the rest of america as easily.

OBAMA, NO CREDIT FOR THE 25
hello america! obama wants to prove that his stimulus bill is working &, the best he can come up with is 25 cadets hired in columbus ohio? true, the stimulus money may have been needed for the city to hire them but, there's a lot more here that's not being said &, i'm here to say it.
first, what did the city not do that led to them not being hired in the first place? then you have, what did the city do that led to their have to being hired with federal funds? &, i am trying to get the answers as best i can but, some officials don't like to answer questions when being put on the spot.
we all know that the cities spend our money as they see fit. they try to::: bring in businesses at our expense; build ballparks at our expense; buy property at our expense &, a host of other things at our expense...like a face lift on the courthouse, etc.....
all of our cities have budgets & very few live within them. so, you cannot convince me that these 25 could not have been hired without the stimulus. we both know that somewhere in this cities system they could have cut some un-needed services or raised the money through taxes to hire those 25. in truth, i believe the stimulus was a bonus to the city &, in a year the money for those 25 runs out &, then the mayor opens his mouth:::::
he said the city will be able to retain those 25 after the stimulus money runs out. that tells me that he knows what must be done to retain them. &, if one is to believe him, then he knew what should have been done to hire them without the use of the stimulus money in the first place.
as much as my city, allentown pa, may need 25 additional cops, i hope they don't use stimulus money to hire them. the city has spent a fortune on crap we didn't & don't need &, i can't wait to cast my vote against them. we had over-head weather protection on hamilton street that they took down. they re-did several parks. they re-did the front of the courthouse. some of the city projects we could have done without which would have freed the money up for those things the city actually needs. oh, did i tell you they also helped build coca-cola park?

when obama announced his "spreading the wealth" crap last october, you guys were so happy that the rich were going to pay your way. i told you then & i'm telling you now---it ain"t gonna happen...not in this lifetime or the next. &, this is why...
...would you bust your butt to get ahead & when you get there, allow somebody to take a bigger share away from you just because you were successfull? i know i wouldn't. & on top of taking a bigger share from you, they take even less from those that get your share?
now, we can stop with all that democrat/republican crap----this is socialism no matter what party your with---&, it ain't america.

athletes & entertainers are going to take a direct hit on this. look at all the charites they support. when you start taking more from them, they will support them less. they do commercials about hunger & the poverty-stricken; they feed families throughout the year; they help build sports parks; they host functions to raise money for others in need. &, they do it because they want to. what do you think will happen when you force them to do it?
by now, most of america has heard of the jimmy v foundation named after jimmy v who coined the phrase "don't ever give up-don't ever give up" while battling a disease that took his life---thus, the foundation. when you start taking from the supporters of this, it's going to fall &, the cancer research the money presently helps will be lost.
another case in point::::when i was in the service (1974-1984), we didn't have a choice in which 'charity' we helped. we got in the pay line, got our pay & then had to stop at all the stations to 'donate' our money to the various charities the army lined up---it wasn't a choice thing & i resented it but, back then, i was compelled to do it. besides, i couldn't beat the 1st sgt or sgt major who patroled the lines. always thought that system was wrong because the only charity i wanted to give money to was, cancer research---my mom died from cancer of the bone. if that had of been a regular 9 to 5 job, i would have quit. don't force me to pay for what you want paid for::::allow me the respect of chosing who gets my money.
so, to obama i say, you went to harvard & i don't know what all they teach there but, if your "spreading the wealth" is one of the subjects------you should have gone to another school in another land because it is not american!

OBAMA SHOULD WATCH THE STOCK MARKETS EVERY DAY
hello america! every action causes a reaction. you should learned this in your early childhood. &, in some instances, no action causes reaction. then, you have too much action causing no reaction. today, all three of them apply to our economic problems, our government &, the american people. let me do it this way:::::::::
obamas spreading his gloom & doom tactics-----stock markets tank
congress passes 757 billion dollars bill-----stockmarket tanks
obama signs bill into law-----stockmarket tanks
obama expands the federal government-----stock markets tank
obama lays out his 410 billion dollar budget plan-----stock markets tank
geithner holds shaky press conference-----stock markets tank
whitehouse says no to nationalizing banks, etc-----stock markets soar
whitehouse says yes to owning about 80% of aig-----stock markets tanks
whitehouse says yes to owning about 38% of citigroup/bank-----stock markets tank
china expected to come up with 58 billion dollars-----stock markets rises
china doesn't come up with 58 billion dollars-----stock markets tank
obama reveals plan to bailout homeowners-----stock markets tank
gm announces bankruptcy near-----stock markets tank
obama says buy stock-----stock markets rise
geithner can't get anybody to be his number 2-----stock markets tank
job-less figures come out-----stock markets tank
housing market figures come out-----stock markets tank
by now you should have gotten the point. no matter how you may look at this, our economy is wrapped around the stock markets &, regardless of the reasons, they do not respond favorably to obama & his spending &, IT IS NOT ALL HIS FAULT.
we've been bailing out aig since sept of 08 & they are now in worse shape. we've been bailing out gm & they are in worse shape. we've been bailing out citigroup/bank & they are in worse shape. & there are countless others that have recieved federal dollars that are about to fold up. we've been helping am-track for some time & they still can't turn a profit & yet, we continue to give them our money. WHY? in the case of aig, they can't even sell off the 'good' parts of their business &, come this september, they may not be there any longer---same for gm & citigroup.
obama preached about weeding out the programs that don't work. the bailouts before obamas time are not his fault but, he damn sure knows they didn't work. he damn sure knows his bailouts aren't working either. at what point does this 'man for the people' say he's done all he can for them &, continuing to bail them out is now over? doesn't he care that we've bailed out others & they are now gone?
as long as we have federal dollars being spent on these bailouts, the stock markets will not surge upwards but, the day we stop the bailouts---& yes, it's sad that a lot of american lives will be negatively affected but america will survive---the economy will start to turn around.
another thing affecting the stock markets is the tax increase on the wealthy & businesses. obama, they are the ones that buy 2, 3, 4000 shares at a time & now, they are just sitting on their money &, who can blame them when you hear all the bad news from the whitehouse? &, if that wasn't bad enough, they release a statement saying the fdic may be broke by the end of the year. so, what do they do, they raise the fees they charge banks & assess an emergency fee on them. the banks will pay it by raising your cost of doing business with them.
for all of you that voted for librilism---i can only say the rest of us don't deserve this.
